The OnePlus 10 is finally here, so it’s time to rip into the box and see what’s going on under the hood. The new Android phone is the latest cutting-edge flagship from OnePlus, a fan-favorite smartphone manufacturer that is known for its top-notch handsets at reasonable prices.

The OnePlus 10 is the most premium phone OnePlus has ever made, and it’s easily one of the best Android phones money can buy. Critics are raving about its specs and features. So, what makes the OnePlus 10 so great?

Specs

The front of the 10 Pro is cased in extra-durable Gorilla Glass Victus, a new type of Gorilla Glass that will stand up to surprising amounts of punishment. The standard 10 Pro isn’t waterproof, but the T-Mobile version of the US release sports an IP68 watertight frame. This also makes it stand up against dust, so the T-Mobile version is ideal for people who work in dusty environments.

The phone is powered by a massive 5,000mAh battery, which offers hours of battery life. It’s a good thing it sports such a massive power cell, too, because it needs to power a downright massive display screen.

The 10 Pro sports a 6.7-inch display with a gorgeous 3,216 by 1,440 resolution. It’s a massive, eye-catching screen that makes the 10 Pro a rival to competitors like the iPhone 13 and Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. It boasts bold colors, meaning games like Fortnite and Candy Crush look extremely colorful on the large, 120 Hz display screen.

Processor

Speaking of games, the phone runs on a cutting-edge Qualcomm processor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. This new processor gives it the power to swiftly jump between processes, handling games just as well as it handles productivity tasks like answering emails.

The US versions of the phone cap out at 8GB of RAM, while some international editions of the phone sport 12 GB of RAM. Either way, that’s enough memory to multitask all but the weightiest of apps.

Pricing and Availability

The OnePlus 10 Pro is available in the US through T-Mobile, where it sports 5G connectivity and waterproofing. Customers can also buy the phone directly from OnePlus’s website. Either way, the handset will run you $900. This makes it a clear competitor to the Google Pixel 6, which is sold at the same price point.

So, if you’re looking for a great Android phone and you don’t mind going through T-Mobile, the OnePlus 10 Pro is the phone for you.
