Apple’s 2021 Event Unveils Numerous New Hardware Revisions Coming for the Fall

Apple always saves their biggest news for their late-summer event, getting everyone excited for their slate of new products coming in the fourth quarter. This “hype it up before Christmas” approach has served Apple well, and this year’s event is no different.

Let’s take a look at some of the biggest news out of Apple’s 2021 event.

iPhone 13 Specs

The company showed off the great-looking iPhone 13 and its four variants that will be on store shelves on September 24. The iPhone 13 comes in a standard size, a mini size, a Pro variety, and an extra-large Pro Max. The pricing on these four entries is identical to that seen on the iPhone 12’s varieties, ranging from $700 for the Mini up to $1,100 for the Pro Max.

The new phones will all sport the new A15 Bionic chip, which Apple is touting as their best phone processor yet. Additionally, there’s been a lot of buzz about the Cinematic Mode coming to the iPhone 13’s cameras. Apple has hyped up this mode as being ideal for aspiring directors to show off their skills.

Apple Watch Series 7

The latest series of Apple Watch devices hasn’t been given a firm release date yet. This is unusual, as the company usually releases new products in the final few months of the calendar year. In spite of this, Apple showed off that the new watches will have bigger screens, more crack-resistant glass, and even faster charging.

The company still expects the watches to ship before the end of the year, but the delay has been considered unusual for a company that normally operates like, well, clockwork.

It’s not a secret that Apple’s hardware is pricey. The high price of entry underscores the premium feel and polish on every Apple device, but it also scares off more casual users. In the interest of roping in more hesitant late-adopters, Apple announced a new, budget-friendly iPad that’s just being called “iPad”. Creative name!

The new iPad sports some changes that seem tailored to the past 18 months of global events. It has a wider front-facing camera, making it perfect for video conferencing, and even boasts LTE connectivity, making it great for working on the go.

The best thing about this new iPad is the price: it’s only $329 for a device with 64 GB of internal storage. That’s easily the best price you’ll find on a super-premium tablet like the iPad!
